In production lines for processing sweet potato, potato, cassava, and arrowroot starch, there is a piece of equipment called a centrifugal screen. They feature multi-stage screening capabilities, ensuring low starch loss rates. Centrifugal screens are typically constructed of stainless steel and equipped with anti-clogging designs, intelligent control systems, and wear-resistant components (such as tungsten carbide coatings) to enhance continuous operation capacity and service life. Generally, large-scale starch processing facilities are equipped with horizontal or vertical centrifugal screens

Drum System: Features a ring-shaped stainless steel structure with solenoid valves controlling the feed pipes arranged around the outer circumference; an internal viewing window allows real-time monitoring of the separation process.
Power Unit: A rotary motor drives the drum via a shaft, with a maximum speed of 3,200 rpm; a pulley drive system ensures stable power output.
Filtration System: Features dual filtration layers consisting of a screen mesh and filter plates; some models are equipped with removable filter plates (quickly installed and removed via connecting blocks and mounting slots)
Adjustable Support: A combination of curved plates and hydraulic rods allows for adjustment of the equipment’s tilt angle, while wheel assemblies assist with movement and positioning.
It is important to note that different models of horizontal centrifugal screens vary in motor power, processing capacity (e.g., hourly throughput), and applicable particle size range (typically 40 microns to 5 millimeters).
